Google Limited Use disclosure

Filmclusive requests restricted Gmail and People API scopes so you can connect your inbox and import contacts. Google's Limited Use policy requires that we explain how that data is used, stored, and shared before any OAuth flow begins.

What we actually request

  • Gmail scopes: gmail.readonly, gmail.metadata, gmail.labels, gmail.settings.basic, and gmail.send.
  • People API reads: names, emailAddresses, phoneNumbers, and photos.
  • People API writes: names, emailAddresses, phoneNumbers, and organizations only when you edit a connected contact.
  • Tokens: legacy client-readable Gmail token storage is blocked. Google contacts refresh cookies are encrypted in the current server session flow, and other Google token handling is kept on server-controlled paths.

How the data is used

Your Gmail inbox is used to power the inbox dashboard, reply templates, and note cleaning experiences. Contacts are imported only for faster networking, and we store imported contact records as private objects tied to your account.

We use restricted Google data only to provide the feature you asked for inside Filmclusive. We do not use restricted Google data to train generalized AI models, for advertising, or to sell data to third parties.

How long we keep it

Google access tokens are short-lived. Refresh tokens are kept only while the connection is active. Imported contacts remain private until you delete them, disconnect Google, or delete your account. Gmail label and filter caches are temporary and are listed as 90-day records in our privacy rights map.

Your consent

Before we can fetch Gmail data or import contacts, you will be shown this disclosure again inside the app and asked to continue. You can revoke consent at any time by disconnecting Google from the account settings page.
