Our Promise to You

At Filmclusive, we're building something different. We're filmmakers and users ourselves, and our mission is simple: to give the community tools to find each other, share their work, and apply for opportunities — without paywalls.

We believe in these values:

  • Your data is yours. We don't sell it, we don't trade it, and we don't train AI on it.
  • We use your data only to make the platform work. Like any modern app, we rely on services such as Firebase (for storage), reliable email delivery providers, and other standard tools. These services process your information so Filmclusive functions, but our agreement with you is that your data is used for functionality, not for profit.
  • We keep it simple. Think of your Filmclusive profile like a résumé: it's meant to be shared with others so you can find work. Treat it as information you'd be comfortable sharing professionally.
  • Security in progress. Right now, we do not yet provide advanced protections like 256-bit encryption for uploads. That means some data could be exposed if there's a breach — whether on our side or one of our providers. Until we improve funding and infrastructure, you should not upload highly sensitive documents (IDs, tax forms, or explicit personal materials).
  • Deletion by default. Storing data costs us money, so we have no incentive to keep it longer than needed. You can delete your data at any time, and we are building safeguards like auto-delete after inactivity.
  • We do our best. Filmclusive is currently run by one person at the keyboard, working with industry-standard tools. We'll continue improving security, privacy, and features as we grow.

We want to re-imagine what a company can look like if it's built with the best values of filmmakers and creatives. Our goal is not profit first — it's functionality, privacy, and trust.

🛡️ Data Security & Breach Liability - Simple Summary

What We Do to Protect You:

  • Use industry-standard encryption and security measures
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring
  • Secure data transmission and access controls

What We're NOT Responsible For:

  • Hacker attacks, data breaches, or ransomware - These are beyond our control
  • What attackers do with your data - We can't control bad actors
  • AI companies scanning your headshots - If hackers steal and sell your data
  • Identity theft or fraud - From unauthorized third parties

If a Breach Happens:

  • We'll notify you within 72 hours
  • We'll work with law enforcement
  • We'll take steps to prevent similar incidents
  • But we can't be held liable for what attackers do with your data

Bottom Line: We do our best to protect you, but if hackers attack us, we can't be responsible for what they do with your information. You use our platform at your own risk.
