Filmclusive
Age: 32Los Angeles, CAFilmmaker & Entrepreneur

Mas Moriya began his career in New York City as a photographer, capturing artists like Alicia Keys and founding Rogue Photo, a creative agency that provided photographers to nonprofits and cultural organizations. After returning home to Los Angeles, he shifted into filmmaking—working on commercials, short films, and television projects while developing his own scripts centered on identity, resilience, and representation.

He moved back to Los Angeles to pursue a career in filmmaking. When the pandemic halted production, Mas founded Strong Asian Lead, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering Asian American creatives through networking, mentorship, and visibility. He produced over a dozen events, built a directory of 600+ professionals, and created a national community united by a shared mission: equity and access in entertainment.

But when Mas saw how fragmented and outdated the industry's systems were—spreadsheets, forms, paywalled job boards—he decided to learn to code. Teaching himself software development with the help of AI, he built Filmclusive, a cross-industry platform connecting studios, agencies, and talent without subscription barriers. The platform merges his creative and technical worlds, challenging Hollywood's gatekeeping model and introducing a new standard for transparency and opportunity.

Today, Mas continues to merge film and technology—writing, producing, and building tools that bring creative industries closer together. His work is driven by one idea: that storytelling, innovation, and access can coexist to create a fairer, more connected Hollywood.
